Getting Started
Getting into Governy is quick and secure. Depending on your organisation’s security policy, signing in may ask for a second verification step. New team members are added either by an administrator or through an email invitation.
Signing in
- Open the Governy address provided by your administrator.
- Enter your email and password.
- Select Sign in.
Two-step verification
If two-step verification is switched on for your account, you’ll be asked for an extra code after your password:
- Authenticator app — enter the six-digit code from an app such as Google Authenticator or Authy.
- Email code — a one-time code is sent to your email; enter it before it expires.
If a code expires, simply request a new one.
Joining by invitation
When someone invites you to a workspace, you’ll receive an email with a personal link. Select the link to confirm your membership, then sign in — and you’re ready to start.
Confirming your email
If your account was created without a password, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Select the link to verify your address and choose your password. Links are single-use and time-limited; an administrator can resend one if it expires.
Signing out
Select your name or avatar in the top bar and choose Sign out.
What you’ll see
After signing in you’ll land on your Dashboard, showing only the workspaces and audits your administrator has given you access to. Your role in each workspace decides what you can see and do — see Roles & Permissions.
