Admin — Workspaces

Ce contenu n’est pas encore disponible dans votre langue.

Workspaces are the top-level containers in Governy. Each one represents a company, business unit or audit scope and brings together an audit, a team organised by role, and any external data connections. Administrators manage every workspace; managers can look after the workspaces assigned to them.

The workspace list

Administrators see every workspace in a table showing its name, framework, number of members, creation date and status, with quick access to edit it, manage its connectors or remove it.

Creating a workspace

Step 1 — Details. Give the workspace a name, an optional description, and choose the compliance framework its audit will follow. It can optionally sit under a parent workspace.

Step 2 — Add people. Assign team members to roles:

  • Domain Manager — full management of the workspace
  • Analyst — writes and submits assessments
  • Approver — approves or rejects assessments
  • Auditee — provides evidence
  • Reader — read-only access

You can pick from existing people or invite new ones by email — accounts are created and an invitation is sent automatically.

Editing a workspace

Administrators can change the name, description and structure, or remove the workspace. Managers can rename their workspace and update its description, but can’t change its framework or structure or delete it.

The edit view also shows every role group and its members, where you can add or remove people, move someone between roles, or invite several new people at once by email.

Bulk invitations

Invite a whole group in one go: enter the email addresses, choose the role they should join, and send. Governy creates accounts for new addresses, emails everyone a link, and adds them all to the chosen role immediately.

Connections

Each workspace can connect to external security tools to bring in data automatically. See ESIA Connectors.

Removing a workspace

Deleting a workspace removes its audit, assessments, evidence, tasks and documents, and unassigns its members (their accounts stay active). This can’t be undone, so a confirmation is always shown.
